SEO Intern

Brief Description:

This Junior SEO role will be responsible for deploying key internet marketing & SEO strategies on behalf of our clients working from a project plan prepared by the Senior SEO staff. You will be trained in strategic Internet marketing techniques. Some client interaction may be required so excellent verbal and writing skills are prerequisites. This position is a wonderful opportunity for a junior-level web or marketing enthusiast looking to move into SEO. To be considered for this Junior SEO role you must be meticulous in your attention to detail and take pride in your work.

We are looking for a self-motivated person who is currently involved with SEO or seriously looking to move into this field.

Main Duties:

  • Perform an on-page optimisation site audit for a variety of websites (training will be provided).
  • Analyse the code, content, and site structure of websites (training will be provided).
  • Implementing the findings of any site audit.
  • Research, analysis and prioritise keyword combinations for our clients.
  • Create a content strategy for different market niches.
  • Pulling together information based on research of topics and instruction from senior staff.
  • Improving and editing content on websites.
  • Searching for and approaching relevant websites on behalf of clients in order to build link popularity. Written and verbal skills are crucial for this task.
  • Cataloguing link acquisition for clients.
  • Providing structured support and assistance to senior staff members.
  • Creating a number of reports for clients using Excel.
  • Project management skills be be required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in creating or managing websites commercially or for leisure.
  • The ability to quickly learn new skills from reference books, websites and forums.
  • Excellent computer, communication and internet skills, with accurate typing and confidence to speak with clients in person or over the phone.
  • Ability to use Word & Excel.
  • Time management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and organize projects.
  • Determination and motivation to succeed in the digital marketing world.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Other Information:

  • This is a new role with an exciting start-up company.
  • It is a full-time role with flexible working hours.
  • Regular training will be provided throughout the internship.

Main Duties:

  • Ownership and management of key clients.
  • Identify link opportunities for clients through research and link analysis.
  • Recommend content strategies for clients to enable viral link building.
  • Understand clients’ overall search marketing goals and developing a link building strategy to support SEO and Social Media campaigns.
  • Managing link building campaigns for my clients, using Excel and custom-build databases.
  • Sourcing good quality blogs, for publishing articles for themed, contextual links, by contacting owners.
  • Building external links from web 2.0 websites including squidoo, and hubpages.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practice and the latest developments.
  • Prepare client-ready reports showing progress.
  • Administer SEO software tools to check progress, competitor’s backlinks, and other valuable data.
  • Build customized, professional documentation, using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to summarize monthly data.
  • Provide regular reports to the Managing Director.Provide support with internal and external linking efforts for the full-cycle of link-building.
